Terrible product from a terrible company lasted a few months until it broke and then they dodged the warranty with a terrible excuse

Thank you for your review Mr Mason, firstly thank you for taking the time provide this feedback, however on this occasion we would have to say your review seems to be quite unreasonable, in your conversion to our customer service team you informed us that you had in fact damaged a truss through usage and accidentally damaged as it was broken in two parts, our customer service team were correct to inform you this is not a manufacture fault so not covered by warranty, however on the system you have purchased a new truss and our team gave you a substantial discount to help your situation, we really appreciate your business and hope this will not deter you from Buying from Gala Tent in the near future, all the best

I asked sales person if roof needed taking off before packing away and was told no, as i want a gazebo were it stopped on, as i was comparing with another company products that roof does stop on.

Thank you for your review Mr Bishton, firstly thank you for taking the time provide this feedback, however there seems to be some confusion of information you have. You can leave the roof on and the gazebo and it does fit in the bag with the roof on, however we advise to take this off because some people forget to unclip the canopy when collapsing the framework this breaks the web tie clips and then we get the blame which seems to be quite unreasonable, this is the only reason we advise take it off.

Bought the Marquee in June 13. Used until end of September and then stored in Galas own bag inside over the winter. Put up again in May this year and taken down end of September. When taken down white marks were left on our patio and on the house wall next to where the marquee had been. We contacted Gala Tent and told they couldn't do anything as the marquee was over 12 months old. Photos I supplied of the white markings were denied as being caused by the marquee's canopy. As I live close to Gala Tent I took the canopy to them for inspection. The canopy was very brittle and left white chalk like markings on our hands and clothes. This was acknowledged and I was offered a 20% reduction off a new canopy! Following a complaint to their director I received a response still denying the white markings and offering a 30% discount. I am now considering my options but thought I needed to provide this review now in case others were experiencing similar issues.

However we have investigated your query thouroughly despite your goods been well out of any warranty as the PE model manufacture warranty is 12 months period and after reviewing your photos and information you presented to our customer service team we have not seen any evidence of any fault in the goods you have purchased and your feedback seems quite unreasonable. The PE material you have is plastic coated and does not contain anything that can mark or stain your patio. We have never had a complaint that material has marked a patio or been requested to pay for cleaning it ever before. Despite this we have still tried to help you by offering a substantial discount for replacement goods as we value all our customers. Our tent materials are all of a high quality and do last years if cared for and stored correctly.

Bought from gala as they promised good after sales and spare parts - Did they deliver after just one year on the top of the range canopy the ring pulleys broke that held the legs up did they help only to offer 10% off a new canopy

Ordered a Gala shade, unfortunately I found out later they were out of stock until September, received no notification of this, disappointing.

Demand for our product has increased 30% this year even though these stats show good business we don’t like to let anyone down, Im sure when this item comes back into stock we can discount your purchase to compensate.

I am very disappointed with the quality of the 3m x 6m Gala tent made 500d ivory white polyester material with PVC backing. When I disassemble it I found the roof canopy material to be ripped along the top apex pole where the Ivory satin lining Velcro attachment points were. I had followed the manufactures instructions “if you are planning to leave your structure erected for many days/weeks/months, the weather should be checked regularly to ensure the safety of the structure???. I had also used ratchet tie downs and the ground bar set. I complained to Gala Tent that the design of the satin lining had caused the top canopy to rip due to the materials rubbing together. I also pointed out that their claim “we believe it’s the most durable marquee of its kind in the world!??? was not true from my experience. Gala Tent’s reply was “we have not had any other complaints in regards to the Velcro rubbing which, if it was a design fault, we would have heard about this???. They offered me 10% discount as a good gesture.

According to our investigation in to your issues you brought forward we did investigate fully and a commercial decision was made that your structure had what is known in the business as 'fair wear', and if you are to leave your structure up as a permanent fixture for lengthy periods of time then it its reasonable to say that it will be subject to all kinds of inclement weather and will require maintenance at some stage. I believe as a good will gesture our customer service team offered you a 10% discount to help your situation, which Gala Tent believe to be very reasonable. Gala Tent hope that this will not deter you from using our service again in the near future.
