Wedding Day Bliss Thanks To Leading UK Gazebo Firm

Newlyweds Katy, 29 and Joe Thomas, 30, from Wakefield, are celebrating their first few weeks of marriage after tying the knot in summery style.

Katy and Joe married on August, 15 at the Church of St Peter and St Leonard in Horbury, West Yorkshire and held their wedding breakfast in the bride’s parents third of an acre garden, in a marquee provided by Gala Tent.

After Joe’s proposal, Katy immediately knew that she wanted to hold their big day in her parents’ lavish garden to create a very personal and comfortable atmosphere. However she didn’t want this to lose the sense of occasion and started looking into marquees to make the day extra special.

During a visit to a local garden centre with Katy’s mum Marian Medley, they happened upon one of Gala Tent’s gazebos and were instantly impressed with the style and quality.

A trip to the showroom revealed that the cost of purchasing a marquee was actually less than the cost of hiring one. So the decision was made - they were going to use Gala Tent marquees to house their wedding breakfast and reception.

“We were so impressed with the quality of Gala Tent’s marquees. The prices were so competitive and the staff were really friendly. I would never have dreamed that we could buy a marquee direct at less than the cost of hire”, said newlywed Katy.

“We used a six by ten metre marquee on the lawn fitted with a burgundy Gala Tex carpet. We were able to have 60 guests sit very comfortably at 11 tables in the main marquee.

“The theme of the wedding was vintage/shabby chic. The marquees were simply decorated with bunting and it looked just lovely!”

Marian Medley, mother of the bride, added: “All of the guests remarked on how great the marquees looked. They definitely added the finishing touch to our daughter’s special day!”
