Print service is a Gala money spinner
Gala Tent is to create new jobs after orders for custom printed gazebos and marquees doubled as a result of bringing the service in house towards the end of last year.
The Rotherham company, which lays claim to being the UK’s largest designer and manufacturer of marquees, gazebos and accessories, acquired a 50 per cent stake in digital printing business Sign Man three months ago.
Sign Man moved to Gala’s extensive, purpose-built premises at Manvers, enabling Gala to offer next day delivery of bespoke printed gazebos and marquees to many of its clients, prompting a significant increase in orders.
Founder and managing director Jason Mace said: “We are delighted that our plan to grow our custom printed business has worked so well since we have brought this capability in-house.
“Customers really appreciate the fact that we are now able to provide a much quicker and more efficient service, while guaranteeing the quality of the customised printing.
“Our custom printed gazebos and marquees are already really popular with large drinks brands, traders and for corporate businesses and we expect to see this increase even further as companies prepare for the events season.”
Gala says that, as a result of the growth in demand for custom printed products, it is planning to create a number of jobs in its digital printing business in the coming months.
The company’s acquisition of a 50 per cent stake in Sign Man was followed towards the end of the year by the launch of a business testing portable appliances after buying the client base and assets of Pat Man.
