Local business helps fundraisers to spread festive cheer
A local marquee and gazebo distributor has been spreading some Christmas joy this year by supporting Rotherham Hospital and Conisbrough Christmas Market with their seasonal fundraising.
Rotherham based Gala Tent Ltd have worked closely with event organisers to provide support in the form of trader stalls and a fully printed Santa's Grotto gazebo.
Conisbrough market attracted hundreds of local residents last week with the aim of raising funds for the local community. The market was held from 10am – 4pm on the 5th December in Conisbrough village centre with St Peter's Church and Conisbrough Community Library also holding Christmas fairs as part of the event.
Alongside Gala Tent's Santa's Grotto the event also played host to some of the areas local talent in the form of students from De Warrenne Academy and the local church choir. Visitors were given the opportunity to purchase local goods with the proceeds going towards improving the village.
Gala Tent has also offered a helping hand to Rotherham Hospital by providing a printed Santa's Grotto which was used at the hospital Christmas fundraiser. The fundraiser was held on 10th December and welcomed people of all ages to enjoy the festivities and raise much needed funds for the hospital.
Previously Rotherham Hospital raised over £3,700 from their Christmas fund raiser, this year the hospital is aiming to raise even more. Money raised by the event will go towards hospital equipment and projects to make patients life easier and more comfortable.
Gala Tent's Managing Director, Jason Mace commented, “It's great for us to be able to help our local community, we have been working with Rotherham Hospital for the past three years now and it's great to see the amount of money being raised. This will be our first year helping Conisbrough Christmas market too, hopefully the children will enjoy the fully printed pop up grotto and the market is able to raise some funds at the same time.”
