Gazebo & Marquee firm supports scuba diving charity
The UK’s leading manufacturer of marquees and gazebos has donated a marquee carport to Ripon based charity Scuba Diving For All to help support their fundraising efforts. Most recently the organisation were given a free pitch at the Pickering Steam Rally with their marquee to raise funds for the cause by selling a variety of items including books and antiques.
The event raised a staggering £900 from local supporters and donations, with Gala Tent’s marquee ensuring the volunteers and proceedings remained clean and dry throughout the event.
Ripon based Scuba Diving For All has been an established charity since 2002, and provides free and subsidised scuba diving tuition to people with special needs. The charity aims to help disabled people improve their confidence, develop social skills and feel more independent.
Physically disabled people are able to enjoy a greater level of freedom in water than they can achieve on land, making the experience both therapeutic and enjoyable. Fully qualified scuba divers work voluntarily with the charity so all funds raised are able to be reinvested back into the charity.
Jeremy Haile of Scuba Diving For All said: “We are extremely grateful for Gala Tent’s generous donation of a marquee carport- it was absolutely key in the maintenance of our stall throughout the day and a vital part of our days overall successes. I’m sure it will continue to serve us well in future events, as well”
Gala Tent's Managing Director, Jason Mace commented: “We were delighted to be able to support Scuba Diving For All in the smooth-running of their fundraising event. It is really important for us to give back to the community, and supporting local charities such as Scuba Diving For All is an excellent way for us to achieve this.”
