Gala Tent group helps disabled servicemen’s charity
Marquee and gazebo manufacturer Gala Tent is backing a charity dedicated to providing injured troops with the chance to get involved in motor sport.
The Rotherham group has donated a marquee to KartForce, the charity founded by founded by former Royal Engineer Dave Player, who has been a wheelchair user since 1991.
KartForce currently has 29 regular kart drivers, who are taking part in major events including 24 hour kart races on part of the Le Mans circuit in France, on the Isle of Man and in Britain, on Teeside.
Manvers-based Gala’s managing director, Jason Mace, said: “KartForce is an amazing organisation and after hearing of their need for a marquee, we were proud to be able to offer them one of our marquees for their events. We wish them well.”
