Temporary to semi-permanent event cover
Gala Tent marquees are designed for temporary to semi-permanent use. Independent frame components are locked into each other and secured with 50mm wing screws or bolts which is a very quick self-assembly process. This type of fastening is much more reliable in all-weather than shaky competitor systems
Sidewall panel material designed to perfection
Large, Georgian style windows are featured in all sidewall panels to let light flood in, and benefit from a security blind should your event marquee require privacy. The individually 2m sidewalls can be removed in sections to create an entry or exit point anywhere around the length of the structure and can assist climate control. The gable end wall sections on all Gala Tent marquees can be individually removed but benefit from three size door options.

What Size Marquee Do I Need?
To ensure that you purchase the right size marquee, here is a guide to calculate the tent size required:

Which marquee material should I choose?
Gala Tent 240gsm PE material is our entry level choice of cover and the best quality on the market, even the hire industry use this. However, the 650gsm PVC covers are commercial quality and a giant leap from PE.
The Gala Tent material is unquestionably the finest quality due to their durability and long life; the PVC covers are suitable to use all year-round use. PVC material is three times heavier than Polyethene PE. So, if you have a more commercial use in mind, let's say storage or semi-permanent use then choose PVC. Both PE and PVC provide notable protection from the unpredictable British weather and both covers come complete with fire rated certification.
Which marquee is right for my event?
Gala Tent offers the following choice of marquees from stock delivered next day:
The quality categories vary in material or frame construction. The Gala Tent PE and PVC steel pole framework all benefit from high gloss powder coating, which provides a great looking aesthetic feature which provides a high-quality visual finish. The standard eve height is 2.1 m. Gala Tent PE and PVC use the same framework in the bill of materials, they just feature different covers. Gala Tent PE feature 240gsm covers whilst Gala Tent PVC marquees feature 650gsm PVC covers.
The Gala Tent Fusion marquees are available in additional 2.2m and much higher on request. The Gala Tent Fusion also incorporates the use of 650gsm covers. The Fusion Marquee uses industrial strength aluminium extrusions and frame tensioning systems and premium quality 650g modular PVC marquee covers. It is a semi-permanent, commercial grade marquee system, available from a spacious and imposing 6m x 6m, up to a huge 9m x 30m and beyond. The modular design of the marquee means that you are free to purchase one size, and simply add to it as the occasion demands it over time.

.All Gala Tents are supplied with a British standard fire rated certificate. This is a fundamental requirement for standing at any event. If you don’t have this your marquee is just a domestic tent and limits the possibilities and you certainly won't be able to hire this out. And what about your guests? Surely you want to provide the highest level of safety which comply with official fire regulations.
The all-important marquee weights and anchorage
Improve the stability of your marquee by adding weights. buy storm straps to tie down your tent safety and greater anchorage. These are ratchet tension belts and come complete with heavy duty ground pegs. Depending on the ground surface, you may choose concrete marquee weights which can also be purchased in our online shop.
The Gala Tent Pro package deal offers the maximum level of stability for your tent. The Pro Package provides tents with a complete ground bar rail suitable for erecting on hard or soft ground. Provided that the marquee is erected and rigged out with ground bar rails, storm straps and weights will ensure that it withstands wind speeds of up to 50 - 60mph, though we have had reports of up to 100mph from Gala Tent enthusiasts.

Built for self-assembly
The more highly engineered tents like the Fusion will take more time to erect on the first assembly. This is because there are more components, however after the first deployments most of the component can stay connected making the second erection super-fast. The Fusion is aluminium extrusion and features roof reinforcement and 3m bay cross bar stability tensioning and very commercial.
Gala Tent marquees are designed and build for self-assembly and do not require any special skills or additional tools. An adjustable spanner, Allen key (included) and a lump hammer for tent pegs and maybe the use of some steps is all you need. Frame components are labelled and easy to identify during assembly. Each tent is supplied with easy to follow assembly instructions and you will be sent this on email along with a how-to video guide.
Marquee cleaning, maintenance and repair
The marquee covers should be cleaned and inspected regularly. Like all products maintenance is required and if not cared for the life span will lower. Consider where you erect the structure: for example, if it’s set up underneath trees, it’s more likely to gather tree sap, dust and grime that washes off the leaves when it rains.
Grime from traffic will also show over time as a grey tinge on the white material. Once there, it’s difficult to remove and needs a chemical detergent and brush or similar – which is another reason to inspect and clean your marquee on a regular basis. For regular cleaning when there is no ingrained dirt or grime, we recommend simple soapy water, or a specialist car cleaner diluted in water which you will have in your itinerary. Do not use any strong acid, alkaline, bleaching or oxidising cleaning agents, as these may damage the surface of the tent covers. Here is link to how to clean your marquee.
