Gala Tent’s Parent Company Wins Best Large Business Award at Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce Business Awards

We’re delighted to announce that Gala Tent’s parent company, The Mace Group, was awarded Best Large Business 2024 at the prestigious Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. This accolade reflects The Mace Group’s resilience and commitment to excellence, showcasing our ability to thrive through challenging times by delivering premium gazebos, party tents and marquees alongside fanatical customer service to all clients. The awards were held at the iconic Magna Science Adventure Centre, a venue chosen to represent innovation and excellence in the region.

CEO Jason Mace collected the award on behalf of The Mace Group, expressing his gratitude and pride, saying, “This award highlights and recognises the continued growth of The Mace Group, which we’re thrilled about. We were up against some excellent businesses, so being named the best large business in the region is an honour for all of us.” Jason’s words capture the hard work and dedication that define The Mace Group, encompassing multiple successful brands such as Gala Tent, Gala Performance, Gala Education & Marketing, and Gala Technology.

The Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce Business Awards celebrate outstanding achievements across South Yorkshire, bringing together businesses that positively impact the regional economy. The “Best Large Business” award, in particular, recognises companies with substantial growth, a reputation for quality, and ongoing contributions to local communities.

Adding to the celebration, our own Joshua Turver, who joined The Mace Group in the IT department, was shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year Award. Joshua received the Highly Commended Certificate, reflecting his dedication and the positive impact he has already made within the company. Commenting on his commendation, Joshua shared, “Although the award went to a deserving candidate, this recognition is fantastic motivation. I’ve always wanted to change lives through positive work, and this encourages me to aim even higher.”
